Driven by the belief that cultural exploration and artistic expression are vital for young minds, Terry and Gayline founded apapsf.org over 3 decades ago. 

Their vision? To empower San Francisco Bay Area children from all backgrounds to celebrate their Asian heritage through performing arts and sports.

apapsf.org invests in organizations that create enriching programs, fostering creativity, teamwork, and a sense of community. Terry and Gayline's legacy inspires the next generation of leaders and changemakers.

ON THE BOARD

By day, Mike is CTO and co-founder of code:blue ai, building tech that helps detect strokes. Before that, he helped Siri change the world (one voice at a time) at Apple Human Interface.

And night and weekends, he's all in on Asian performing arts and sports. He's marched kids (and adults!) in the SF Chinese New Year Parade for overr 15 years, and he's here to help SF kids explore their heritage and unleash their inner athlete (including teaching a few moves himself!).

When he's not coaching future CEOs at UC Berkeley or training to be the Silicon Valley's slowest Ironman, you'll find him cheering on our student-led dragon boat teams (for moral support, he says).
